The original energy blog at UMD

In the busy corridor of Heller Hall's lower level, across from HH 118, there is an up-to-date bulletin board focused on energy issues.  The board has been at UMD for a long time, and it features newspaper articles collected by John Green, Professor Emeritus in geology.

The Energy Board covers environmental impacts related to energy use: everything from driving cars to mining coal, oil and other resources.  News on renewable forms of energy are also present, along with articles reflecting on the social impacts of energy use and mining.  Many of the stories invite reflection on the impact our individual choices make regarding energy use.

(Make sure to check out the other displays in Heller Hall on fossils, minerals, and even earthquake tracking too!).
